IDU Update

  21 September 2016

Dear Members and Friends of the IDU,

Whilst sending out the latest IDU update, I would like to take the chance to introduce myself to you.

My name is Christian Kattner. At the IDU Executive Meeting in Cleveland I was elected new IDU Secretary General. In my previous capacity I have work as political specialist for Foreign and Security Policy and as International Secretary of the Christian Social Union (CSU) in Bavaria, Germany.

Unfortunately I haven’t had the chance to reach out to all members of the IDU yet, but I’ll do my very best to get into touch with you soon.

I would like to take the occasion to thank my predecessor Eirik Moen for his fantastic work as IDU Secretary General over the last 10 years. Eirik managed the IDU in the most professional way and modernised the organisation’s structure to fit the demands of the 21st century.

The IDU Secretariat now has moved from the Høyre offices in Oslo to the new Headquarters of the CSU in Munich. On my behalf I promise that the service Eirik provided to you will be maintained. I ask you to see IDU Secretariat as your service point and you are very welcome to drop by.

The new address is: IDU Secretariat, Mies-van-der-Rohe-Str. 1, 80807 Munich, Germany.

You can reach me directly per mail christian.kattner@csu-bayern.de

I`m looking forward working with you.

Best regards,

Christian Kattner

IDU Secretary General
