The International Democracy Union (IDU) staunchly advocates for the “Free, Peaceful, and Prosperous Indo-Pacific Strategy” of the Republic of Korea – a strategy that seeks to advance freedom, democracy, the rule of law, and human rights across the Asia-Pacific region.
In light of this, the IDU voices its apprehensions regarding the persistent missile provocations, the advancement of nuclear capabilities, and the illicit arms exports to Russia by the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea. This includes the recent attitudes regarding the People’s Republic of China voiced by the leader of the primary opposition party in the Republic of Korea.
The IDU wholeheartedly aspires for the triumph of the People Power Party in the imminent general election in the Republic of Korea. Such a victory would bolster the Indo-Pacific Strategy of the Republic of Korea and facilitate the execution of value diplomacy amongst the like-minded countries, including the members of NATO.
